The work is executed entirely in archival ink, using thousands of fine line segments that radiate outwards from a singular focal origin. These concentrated concentric rings expand towards the margins of the canvas to create a subtle grey and silver gradient. The title addresses the structural focus directly. The dark, dense centre exerts a gravitational pull on the eye, which prompts questions about what lies within that focal aperture. The intense repetition evokes natural patterns like tree rings or stone ripples. This structural mystery leaves the core open to speculation, which maintains a powerful and timeless allure.
