Professor Ashis D. is dearly known as ‘Mastermoshai’ (beloved teacher) to his art college students and the HE Group team. This modest, thoughtful artist appears to be a traditional academic, yet his body of work takes you on a different journey altogether. An alumnus of the prestigious Santiniketan, he uses unexpected materials to turn familiar objects into striking abstract compositions. His art reveals a mind that constantly experiments to find uncharted territory. Though his work has garnered recognition throughout India, he finds true joy in his workshop, experimenting with objects, painting, and photography with his students.
